synopsis

Part one of the Muse Keeper novella series*
Please note: This is a 15,000 word, bite size chunk of twisted naughtiness. It’s not a full length novel and it will end in a cliff hanger. Parts 1,2 and 3 will rock you and shock you.

Freya is not the girl’s name, she is Betty.

The man who calls her Freya–the giant of a man named Thane–is the man who took her. Before she was taken, Betty dwelled only of the shame of her past. She supposed that life could not get any worse, that she had experienced all the pain it was possible to feel and still breathe. She was 19 years old and a street girl. Streetwise. Or so she thought…then she was taken and now she knows what true pain is. What she doesn’t know is why she craves it and, in the end, if it will destroy her.

Fear, depravity, reverence and love–all these precious gifts will be bestowed on the one he calls Freya. So powerful is Thane that each flower he has plucked may blossom or wilt under his control. Each chosen one was selected for a purpose and taken to his compound where he may use them at his will but the most precious jewel of all is Freya. This one is special. This one he must try not to crush.

Janey Rosen, author of the No.1 bestselling Sebastian Trilogy, brings fans of dark erotica a suspenseful and twisted tale in this first book of The Muse Keeper series of novellas. Though short, it packs a powerful punch that will not be to all tastes. Boundaries have been pushed; socially accepted lines have been crossed.

This book is intended strictly for readers over the age of 18, due to the adult content and challenging themes that run through this series.

“OMG…waiting for the next instalment, it’s f*****g great! Very different, loved it!”
“Wow! Is it wrong that I found what happened to her erotic? I NEED to read the next part!”
“Blew me away! How does your mind work that way? Can’t wait to read more.”

Tbird’s Review:

I received a copy of this book to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

You will find an intense introduction to this series in a matter of sixty
some pages.  It took me no time at all to absorb this piece of the story
and when I was done I desired to know more about what was going on with
this man.

Thane has created his own religion, a set of beliefs that leads him to save
women and find the one that the Gods has approved of to give him a son.  He
really believes that everything he does is for her sake, her benefit and
will greatly improve her life and he ask the readers to believe in him and
his methods.

Already in his compound he has a few women who live to serve him and a
young man called simply Boy. When he spots Betty, a prostitute who was
running from her own family issues, he takes her as his special one and
calls her Freya.

Book one, as I said, goes very quickly and basically gives you an idea of
the compound, his plans and her initiation into the new group she will be
forced to call family.  I have a feeling this is going to be a very dark
and twisted series and I am not even able to predict where the author is
going with this one.  What I can predict is I am going to be sitting on
pins and needles till I get the next one.

The ONLY reason I gave this a 4 star rating is because of the length and
the fact I feel we only got a chapter of the story.  Because of this, I
read scenes that felt rushed and information that I would have loved to of
had missing because of how fast this book unfolded. This would have been a
perfect first book in a series had she given us more as an introduction and
expanded more of the scenes to this plot.

4star
