๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ซ๐›:

Grant Stockton is the devil incarnate. The cowboy turned casino-owning crime boss has been the bane of my existence for as long as I can rememberโ€”first as my older brotherโ€™s best friend, then as my guardian when my brother died at his side, and now as the rival bar owner and landlord running me into the red.

He might be the head of The Quiet Horsemen, the man everyone else in this town fears, but Iโ€™m not about to cede a single inch of ground to him.

If I have to lie, cheat, and steal to keep him from finding out my barโ€™s underwaterโ€”well, thatโ€™s exactly what Iโ€™ll do.

At least until he breaks into my apartment and discovers my secret. One that gives him all the leverage he needs to control my fate.

My only reprieve is that The Horsemen are in the middle of a war, one thatโ€™s been spilling blood for the better part of a decade, and his enemies are closing in on our small mountain town.

Which is why Iโ€™m taken off guard by the demand he makes in exchange for keeping my secret.

Apparently there are benefits to being at the mercy of the devilโ€ฆ

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the story of Grant and Dakota. I had so much fun reading this book. Once you pick it up you will not be able to lay it down. For circumstance beyond his control and that are terrible Grant finds himself the guardian of Dakota. But now years have passed and they are living life doing their own thing but Grant always keeps up with Dakota. She is struggling with the bar and having enough money to pay the employees and keep up with her rent. Her rent is paid to Grant and when she finds herself short they strike a deal. However, there are more factors to this deal than I can tell you. Thus begins some amazing conversation, moments that will crack you up. Some steamy times and a back and forth that I was loving every. I loved these characters. I love that she was a little bit of a mess, doing her very best to make it on her own in the world. He is a powerful guy but has always tried to be the best person he could for a friend he loved dearly. I don’t want to say anything else about this book and ruin anything for anyone. You for sure need this book in your life. It is absolutely so much fun to read.

About Renee Henson

Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
