Review of Rewriting History by Missy Johnson and Carly Grey

What do you do when being with the man you love is forbidden?

You hide it.

Our relationship is secret because he’s my teacher, but it wasn’t always that way. We met online, when I lied about my age. For six months we built a friendship that slowly moved into something more.

What i wasn’t expecting was for my lies to unravel like they did when he walked into that classroom. We’re too far gone to try and deny our feelings for each other, so we sneak around like we are ashamed of how we feel.

We steal kisses or the touch of a hand when nobody is watching.The problem is, somebody is always watching and when things go wrong, they have the potential to ruin everything.

Missy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she’s a cat, a cat who thinks he’s a dog…you get the picture).

When she’s not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.

5 stars for Rewriting History by Missy Johnson and Carly Grey!  This is a
student/teacher romance, so if that is not your cup of tea then this is not
the book for you.

Jill and Eli met online.  Even though she knew it was wrong, Jill lied
about her age.  Jill and Eli spent six months building a friendship that
gradually grew into something more.  Everything was going great until Eli
walked into Jill’s high school History class announcing that he would be
their new teacher.  When Eli’s eyes land on Jill, he is speechless.  He
figures out that Jill has been lying to him about her age for months, and
he is not happy.  However, his feelings for her are too strong, and he
knows he can’t just walk away from their relationship.  They each agree to
continue their relationship in secrecy because they each know that having a
relationship with a student is forbidden.  If their relationship is
discovered, Eli would not only lose his job but his teaching career as
well.  The million dollar question is this- How long can they play with
fire before getting burned?

This was a really great book.  The feelings between Eli and Jill were real,
and I could feel their love for one another throughout the entire book.
Congrats to these authors for creating such a great story!
