5 HUGE stars for Living a Beautiful War by Debra Kayn! I have enjoyed all
of the previous books in this series, so I knew this one would be just as
great as the others. Debra writes about real men and the women who love
them. This is the story of Ink and Lilly, and I promise it will touch your
heart.
Lilly has grown up in the Bantorous MC, so she knows how the club life
works. There are certain rules that each member must adhere to, and a
major rule is that no brother can mess around with other member’s
daughters. With Lilly being the only daughter to the Federal Chapter’s
President, she is off limits.
Ink has known Lilly since she was just a kid, and for some reason she has
always been drawn to him. Here is an excerpt from the book as Lilly is
trying to describe her love for him…”When I was 12, I thought I loved
you. At 16, I loved the idea of loving you. At 18, I overheard one of the
bitches talking about you. What you gave her was not what I wanted. I
wanted more, and you gave me more. You loved me”.
Poor Ink, his story broke my heart! He had spent his entire life searching
for love and acceptance. Even at the young age of 12, Lilly loved him
unconditionally, and she found him worthy. Once Lilly turned 18, Ink found
himself attracted to the woman that she had grown into. He wanted
desperately to make her his “old lady”, but Raine, Lilly’s dad, and the
rest of his club brothers threatened to kick him out of the mc if he
refused to stay away from her. He and Lilly both have to decide if they
are willing to fight for their love or simply walk away from each other for
good.
Man oh man! Debra Kayn is one hell of a talented author. I have so
enjoyed the journey she has taken me on with this series. I am beyond
excited that she is planning a new mc series! If you haven’t read the
books in this series, you don’t know what you are missing out on! Do
yourself a favor and order them ASAP! I promise you will not be
disappointed!
