His Angel: The Angel Trilogy Book One

By Kimberly Blalock

4 stars

Secrets, love, suspense, heart break and much more is waiting for you
between the pages of His Angel.  The author will take you on a ride that
will leave your head spinning by the end of the book.  It is a cliffhanger
and WOW what a cliffhanger it is.

I found the first half to be a bit slow with getting Abby and Evan
together, but by midway through the book, the slow pace had been forgotten
because once the author flipped the switch, the action began and the
secrets started to spill.

Abby had a twin sister who died when they were in a car accident during
their teen years.  Abby has tried to move on in life. She went to college
to fulfill her sister’s dream of medicine but her heart was really in
journalism.  She met a man, had a two year relationship with him and then
he suddenly disappeared from her life.  Protecting her heart and struggling
to find a reason to look forward to the next day, she agreed to go out with
her best friend who just returned from college.  This is where she will
meet the sex God named Evan.

Now I can’t go into much detail because I won’t spoil this book for you,
but Evan has known Abby for a long time and he has wanted to be her man
since he saw her.  The secrets you will learn, are what kept him from her,
but now the road is clear and he can move in to not only love her but
protect her from the danger she will soon face.

The ending of the book was unpredictable for me.  After all Abby has
strived for in the last year, the love she was beginning to find with Evan,
it is all wiped out in a few minutes.  We see the angel Abby become more in
touch with the demon that has begun to grow in her fueled by the truth she
just learned, revenge, anger and years of pain due to the loss of her
sister.

My Demons: The Angel Trilogy Book 2

By Kimberly Blalock

5 stars

Well Ms. Blalock has made a believer out of me with her talent to take the
reader on an epic emotional rollercoaster.  No matter how many times I was
begging to “make the insanity stop”, no one could have pried my kindle out
of my hands.  Once I started book two with that dream of all dreams,
reality had no chance at interfering with this book.

So much happens in My Demons and it makes writing this review very
difficult.  As a reader I want to just tell you all to pull up a chair and
let’s have a multiple hour talk about what Abby and Evan go through, but as
a reviewer I am bound by my rule of not giving spoilers.  Oh the struggles
an awesome book brings.

Abby and Evan were left in book one with her memory of him erased.  She
could “feel” her emotions for him but every step he made in getting her to
love him over the last year was gone.  Trusting that her heart would lead
Abby back to him, Evan goes on a mission of keeping her safe from the
dangerous characters that mean to cause her harm.  He also has to find a
way to protect her from the demons of his own past that still lurk in the
night.

You are going to see just how deranged his father Thomas is, her
ex-boyfriend Marco is a huge jerk. He had to have put on a great act for
Abby to fall for him because he is seriously unlovable, but you will
finally learn more about him and Evan’s ex will put a dramatic spin on this
story.  Through all of that Evan still works at regaining Abby’s love and
trust, helping her find new heights not only life but in the bedroom.  We
finally get to see moments of pure happiness for Abby.  She will always
miss her sister but her relationship with her parents is getting better,
she is finding love and throughout all of the ups and downs, she is seeing
Evan for who he really is.

You were sighing and sinking into the lake of romance weren’t you?  Well
wake up and put the seat belts on because the ending of this book will have
you screaming, crying and reaching for tissues and vodka.  OMG how could an
author do this to her readers?  If I wasn’t invested in Evan and Abby
before I sure am now.  Kimberly how could you do this to us?  You had
better be hitting publish on book three SOON. Get your copies of this
trilogy people, I have a good feeling that we will be seeing Ms. Blalock’s
name on the best sellers lists very soon with this kind of talent.
