Carla’s Review:

I would rate this book three stars.  It was a good book, but I found it difficult to connect with the characters.  Ashley Fitzgerald, a talented artist, witnessed the death of her parents on her fifteenth birthday.  The scene was so tragic that she blocked out all of her memories of that night.  Ron Noble, the son of a firefighter who died trying to save Ashley’s parents, is determined to find out what really happened that night.  He and his mother have been receiving cryptic messages that hint the fire was not an accident.  Ron approaches Ashley because she is the only one who survived.  Someone doesn’t want Ashley to regain her memories, and this person will go to any lengths necessary to prevent her from remembering and revealing the truth.  Along the journey, Ron and Ashley fall in love.  Throughout the story, secrets are exposed that might end up destroying everything that Ashley and Ron have together. As I said earlier, this is a good book.  However, it was a little difficult to follow and connect with the characters.
