synopsis

Eleni Litras recognized a kindred spirit when she saw one. Damon loved to have a good time, was allergic to commitment, and was honest to a fault. He wasn’t afraid to speak his mind, even if it meant raising a few eyebrows. She loved that about him. In fact, she feared she may be falling in love with him. But her tragic upbringing taught her trust was a filthy four letter word.

Damon Starkis partied like a rock star most of his life, with little regard for consequences. That was one of the many advantages of being born to a billionaire. But when he got news that rocked his world, he had a choice… grow up or risk losing out on the opportunity of a lifetime. Change didn’t come easily, but he was proud of his new life and the man he’d become, except for one little problem. The secrets and lies were piling up and if Eleni found out, she’d never forgive him.

Carla’s Review:

*I was given a copy of this book as a gift from Stephanie’s Book Reports in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second book in the Starkis Family series, and it is the story of Damon and Eleni.

When Eleni Litras’ best friend, Mia, starts dating Deacon Starkis, she is introduced to his brother, Damon. Much like his brother, Damon has been a playboy for the majority of his adult life. He has never had a serious relationship with a woman, and this is just what Eleni thinks that she is looking for. After surviving a tragic past, Eleni refuses to put her trust in any man. When she and Damon begin what she thinks is a “friends with benefits” relationship, she has no clue that the more times she spends with him the greater the risk of losing her heart becomes.

While spending his life partying with the rich and famous and hopping from one woman’s bed to another, Damon thinks that he will never be the kind of man to settle down. However, this all changes the day he receives some life altering news. After receiving this wake up call, he vows to do whatever it takes to become a better man. During this process, he falls hard for Eleni. He finally convinces her to open up to him, but he is keeping a secret that has the power to blow whatever trust exists between them to smithereens. When his secret is finally exposed, will Eleni turn her back on him for good, or can he convince her that their love is worth fighting for?

I loved this book just as much as the first book in this series! Damon and Eleni are just perfect for one another, and I fell head over heels for both of them! If you are looking for a heartwarming story that also contains some pretty steamy encounter, you should give this book ( and series) a try!
