The Hunter's Moon YA Fantasy Romance.jpg new release

synopsis

Seventeen-year-old Morgan Daniel has been in the witness protection program most of her life. But The Panteras have caught up with her and her younger brother. Her car is totaled, she’s hurt, and the street gang is closing in when wolves with glowing eyes appear out of nowhere and chase away the killers.

Then a very cute guy who handles a bow like Robin Hood emerges from the woods and takes them to safety at his fortress-like home.

And that’s just the first sign that Morgan and her brother have entered a hidden world filled with secrets…

Married to my high school sweetheart, I live on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia surrounded by my children, grandbabies, and assorted animals. An avid gardener, my love of herbs and heirloom plants figures into my work. The rich history of Virginia, the Native Americans and the people who journeyed here from far beyond her borders are at the heart of my inspiration. In addition to American settings, I also write historical and time travel romances set in the British Isles, YA fantasy romance, and nonfiction about gardening, herbal lore, and country life.

Ellie’s Review:

****I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**** I am a huge fan of fantasy works. I’ll start with the good of book. The premise behind the story was good. It’s what drew me in to the book, next to the cover. I was excited by the thrill of the scene at the starter of the book. I enjoyed the dynamic between the main character and her brother. I also enjoyed the dynamic between the main character and her brother. I also enjoyed the budding relationship between Morgan and Jackson. The author had fantastic supporting characters. The plot line had me intrigued and I wanted to know if things were going to work out. Here’s the other side of things. I was distracted by the attention to detail. There were points where the picture had already been painted, but more strokes were added to it. I felt a bit let down. The story was building up to something big and felt like it was going somewhere, only to taper off and fizzle. I don’t know what the second book in the series will warrant. I also don’t know if I will get the second book in the series. I’m on the fence. There are things I want to know, but I don’t know if I want to sift through the details to learn what happens with Morgan and Jackson. I wish the first book dealt with the main issue introduced in the beginning of the book. The second deal with the other aspects that developed as the story did. My apologies to the author, but I didn’t feel like she was much of a “warrior” in this book. 3.5 Stars
