I’m a liar.
I know what you’re thinking. We’re all fucking liars.
But, I’m not talking about the lie you tell your Aunt Helen when she gives you that crappy sweater for your birthday. Or, even the lie you tell yourself when you’re sleeping with someone for all the wrong reasons. I’m talking about bold-faced lies that spill from my lips as easy as the breath from my lungs. Lies that ruin people, lies that protect people, lies for the hell of it. I eat, sleep, and drink lies. I bathe in deceit. At one point in my life, I might not have recognized the truth if it bent me over and slapped me on the ass.
And sometimes, the chaos that is my life gets me in a whole hell of a lot of trouble.
I was a master at keeping it all locked up inside me…until I met Dr. Daniel Harrison.

Carla’s Review:
*I was given a copy of this book as a gift from the author in exchange for
an honest review.
4 stars for Compulsive by Lia Fairchild. This is part one of a two part
series.
Gray Sky has a boatload of issues with the main one being a compulsive
liar. She has repressed memories that her fragile mind cannot accept. Her
boss gives her an ultimatum-go to therapy for six months or lose her job.
Of course, she agrees to therapy with no plans of taking it seriously.
When her current therapist has to leave town, she gives her a list of other
therapists who are available to treat her.
While at her current therapist’s office, she meets the handsome Dr.
Daniel. Sparks fly when these two first lay eyes on one another. Despite
his good looks, there is something about Daniel that puts Gray at ease.
She is determined to get him to become her new therapist. While Daniel
refuses at first, he finally agrees to take her on as a new patient. As he
begins to treat Gray, Daniel tries his best to keep things between them
strictly professional. With Daniel’s help. Gray makes many positive
changes in her life. Because she feels safe with him. she learns not only
how to face her demons but how to put them to rest for good.
Gray longs to have a relationship with Daniel. but he has secrets of his
own. Can they overcome their individual obstacles and share a life
together. or are they two damaged souls who are destined to be alone?
I really enjoyed this book! It is not your every day romance which proves
to be a breath of fresh air for the reader. I can’t wait to read the
second part of this series and discover if their relationship survives!
