I was never meant to have a happily ever after.
It was a fate I accepted a long time ago.
Before he came for me, taking away who I am, I needed to escape.
Just for one night.
One man turned my entire world upside down.
I should have walked away, but something about him wouldn’t let me.
Now I’m lying to him.
He’s going to find out the truth, or my life will catch up to me.
Either way, I lose him.
It’s a thought I can’t bear.
People have always told me love is amazing and powerful.
They’re wrong.
It makes you weak…exposing your vulnerabilities…making you easy prey.
Love is heinous.
Stephanie’s 5 Star Beta Review:
I beta read this book for the author and here is my review.
Alexis Noelle has created an easy love story with these two characters. Twisted and Nikki have one of those love to hate relationships. She’s so determined not to have anything to do with Twisted and the MC lifestyle. He’s double determined to have her in it. The author reveals some deep dark secrets with these characters. They harbor more than their fare share for sure.
Overall the storyline flows well. The characters interaction is fantastic. There’s a bit of anticipation as well. Those secrets I mentioned – yeah, they’re going to bite some of them in the rear. When the stuff hits the fan it’s war.
If you’re a fan of MC Romance, one of Alexis Noelle, one of Romantic Suspense this novel won’t disappoint. Give it a try. You may find yourself sucked into the vortex of the Deathstalkers MC..
Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Heinous is the second book in Alexis Noelle’s Deathstalkers MC series. While Heinous reads as a standalone I highly recommend you read Corrupted too. It’s an amazing book filled with characters in the books that follow. It is also an amazing read you don’t want to miss. Heinous is the story of Twisted.
Twisted is the Vice President of the Deathstalkers MC. He’s all alpha male and is so not looking for an old lady. He’s never had any intention of claiming someone. He can have any woman he wants and go home and sleep in his own bed alone which suits him just fine. Twisted has a past, a childhood he’s shared with no one not even his brothers. That childhood has made him the man he is today. A man who refuses to fight with his fists and feel with his heart. Sure he loves his brother and sister and his MC brothers, but that’s all about to change which he meets Nikki.
Nikki is a no holds bard, sharp tongued woman who is taking no crap off no one. She’s been affected by her childhood and carries her scars by herself. She’s doesn’t really have any friends and knows her day are numbered when he comes after her. She’s is not a fan of MC’s and will never want anything to do with one after watching her mothers life. She refuses to be just like her. All MC men are users in her opinion and she holds her opinions against everyone including Twisted when she meets him one night outside a club. Knowing her days of freedom are numbered she doesn’t see what one night of a little fun with Twisted can hurt. Little does she know her life is about to change because of Twisted.
I devoured this book. Heinous is the story of two broken people with a lot of issues to work through because of their part. Nikki is a take no prisoners, tell it like it is, depend on no man kind of woman. Twisted is a one night stand, die for your brothers, protect the ones you love at all cost kind of man. When these two meet sparks fly and their banter will have you laughing out loud. Nikki however is not willing to open up entirely to Twisted and only gives him pieces of her past while Twisted refuses to talk about his to anyone. Nikki however is keeping a huge secret that will keep you guessing through most of the book. A secret that could destroy her and everything in her life and she sees no way out. Not even telling Twisted because there is nothing anyone can do.
Full of suspense, laughs, heartbreaking pasts, and edge of your seat excitement, Heinous is a must read. MC books are some of my favorite reads. Alexis Noelle has written a book that no MC loving book reader wants to miss, If you’ve never tried a MC Series The Deathstalkers Series is a perfect one to try out for your first time. Buckle up and enjoy the ride. I know I sure did and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book Havoc.
