You know when your world completely crumbles around you if there’s anyone there to help pick you up you hope it’ll be someone that cares about you. Harlow Chase’s parents were part of her world one minute and the next they were gone. Her baby brother was placed with a hateful relative and she was left reeling trying to make sense of what had happened to her world. Marcus Roma was her one saving grace. Her rock. The only person who could get her to eat, get dress, go to school.
He was also the man who helped teach her how to take care of herself and push through the grief by teaching her how to box. Marcus had his own demons. His mother wouldn’t give him the time of day and his father hated him. He thought boxing would make his dad love him if he did well. Which he did.
Together they would find a love of a life time. Until someone took it away. Until one man thought he was above all else. He ripped them apart for 5 years. But a love like Marcus and Harlow’s doesn’t diminish it grows. It simmers. It waits.
