I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.
This is the second book in the Blood Brother’s series however it can be read as a stand alone. I love how Rebecca Zanetti weaves the story around her characters. She has these two right in the thick of things. Heath Jones is a PI with his two friends he’s claimed as brothers. They’re helping catch the Copper Killer – a man fixated on red heads. Specifically Anya Best.
Not knowing what she’s ultimately doing Anya puts both herself and Heath right smack dab in the middle of the danger. She couldn’t have guessed what would happen when she makes her announcement and now these two are on high alert.
Zanetti has included the right amount romance and suspense for these two. I enjoyed their banter back and forth and seeing who would come out on top. They had their work cut out for them on this particular case. Heath’s brothers didn’t have as much of a role in this book as they did in the first of this series. They play off each other so well when they are included though. There was times in reading this story I was asking myself “why hasn’t anyone…” “why didn’t they…” which is why this is only getting four stars from me.
Definitely pick this on up if you’re a suspense reader. I don’t think you’d be disappointed.
