The Write Boss is a stand alone novel but you can also read The Wright Brother, if you haven’t, to get a feel for these two characters. Heidi is an engineer at Wright construction. Her BFF is dating the CEO of the business and his brother (Landon) and Heidi went to high school together.
Landon is a PGA Tour professional golfer but due to a back injury he’s out on medical leave for a year. In order not to loose his mind he’s working at the family construction business – where they just happen to place him as Heidi’s boss. Not her immediate boss – but it’s still up her food chain…and she’s up for a promotion.
Landon has more drama happening in his personal life. Drama that Heidi want’s no part of. She’s pretty adamant about it too. Though he’s pretty quick to break down her walls considering she’s digging in her heels. Can’t say that I blame her. I wouldn’t want to touch that drama with a ten foot pole.
They’ve always had an attraction. Though they never acted – until they couldn’t stand it any longer. One kiss and the hesitation is all thrown out the window. You’ll be rooting for this to happen too. It’s just the way of K.A. Linde land. LOL Her stories will make you want the couple to fall and work for it even with the monkey wrench she tosses at them.
The monkey wrench in this story is a doozy. Can’t say you don’t see it coming but some truths just should be kept to yourself – ya know?! 🙂 You’ll see! Definitely the right decision to read about this Wright Boss.
