Synopsis:
Phillip Kersey finds himself and his hotheaded girlfriend, Stephanie, at a crossroads. He’s the singer of the chart-topping rock band, Fury, and they’re forever in the studio laying down tracks for their third album.
Steph’s photography career has exploded. She’s always on location and out of his grasp. Tired of Skype dates and stolen weekends, Phillip makes plans to whisk her off to Ireland so he can pop the question.
When Steph returns to the U.K. for the birth of their friends’ baby, Phillip finally gets his chance. He’s down on one knee when tragedy strikes. Aching hearts cause tempers to flair chaotically out of control. Phillip feels pushed aside and vanishes. Assumptions and accusations follow, and the public fallout between them becomes the stuff of legend.
When fate brings both Fury and Stephanie to a remote Brazilian paradise, the former lovers have no choice but to face each other head on. Will their wildfire chemistry burn down the wall between them, or will the tumultuous pair simply go up in flames?
Carla’s Review: 4.5 Stars
* I was given an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the 2nd book in the Sound Wave series. If you haven’t read Fury, the first book in the series, I highly suggest reading it before this one. I really enjoyed Fury, so I was anxious to get my hands on Rage. it definitely did not disappoint.
Rage begins with Phillip and Stephanie happy in their relationship, Their only problem seems to be the hectic schedules that both of their jobs require. However, that is not the only problem their relationship faces. Despite knowing very little about one another, Phillip is madly in love with Stephanie, and decides to pop the question in a very public way, Before he can get Stephanie’s answer to his proposal, things go terribly wrong.
Stephanie, acting out of fear and sadness, chooses to keep a HUGE secret from Phillip, and this leads to their breakup. After being apart for over a year, they are forced to face each other at the wedding of one of Phillip’s band mates. They must decide if they can overcome their hurt and forgive one another or move on for good.
I fell more and more in love with both Phillip and Stephanie. They love shared is sweet and true, My favorite quote from the book is made by Phillip. He says this to Stephanie-“My worst day with you was a billion times better than my best day without you.” Can anyone say SWOON?
Rage really was a great book. Had it not been for quite a few editing issues, this would have been a 5 star read. Kudos to Michelle Pace and Tammy Coons for a job well done. If you haven’t read Fury and Rage, get on it!! You will not be disappointed!
