1. What are you doing for Christmas this year?
I’m going to visit my family in Springfield, MO. The heart of the Ozark Mountains and where I was raised.
2. What would you buy us as a cool present?!
I would give everyone a nice spa day at The Red Door here in NYC.
3. What would you like to find in your Christmas stocking?
Easy! A gift certificate to The Red Door.
4. What’s your favorite Christmas memory?
The year I received my first stereo. I didn’t think I was going to be getting one and I was so happy that I cried.
5. What’s your favorite festive song or carol?
Oh Holy Night and Emanuel are tied for #1.
6.. In a Christmas fantasy land – who would be the famous figures, past and present, at your dinner table and why?
A very diverse crowd. Christ, he’s the reason for the season, right? Charlotte Brontë, Thomas Jefferson, Marc Anthony and Cleopatra, and finally someone from today to liven up the crowd, Adam Sandler.
7. Again, in fantasy land or in reality – who would you like to grab under the mistletoe?
Jon Hamm…. Aka Don Draper of Mad Men.
8. What would your perfect Christmas look like and would there be snow?!
A warm lodge in snowy Aspen. It’s so beautiful there.
9. What have been the highlights for you from 2013?
Finding out that I’m about to be a grandmother for the second time.
10. Any New Year’s resolutions?
Write each and every day. No excuses. I’m rather good at them.
11. What is 2014 going to look like for you?
Busy. Working on 3-4 books for releasing in 2014 and at least 5 book signings. Should be an great year. *kicks self in the seat of my pants to get going*
