‘I will always take care of you’
My pain started when I was just ten years old, it was the day my mom got that dreaded phone call. Life has never been the same….
‘I will always protect you’
I am all kinds of broken….
I have known Logan White since forever, he is my brothers best friend and my secret protector. I used to have nightmares that drew me into a dark place and when the nightmares got too much, Logan was by my side. The nightmares are few and far between now, but my life is centered around the tragedy of my past.
Logan is the definition of ‘man whore’, with girls lining around the block to drop their panties at the click of his fingers. But after an unexpected moment things change. Now Logan is somebody else; hot, sexy and so damn delicious and I want to know him. Desperately.
But then there is Angel Walker who is far from the angelic nature of his name, with eyes so hypnotic that I lose my inhabitation’s just by staring into them. But he is a broken man who just screams sin. He doesn’t want to protect me or care for me, He just wants me.
Do I want the man who can cut through all of my pain or the man who could cause me more?
Fists will fly, hearts will shatter and desire will be fueled.

Cassy’s Review:
WOW! What a cliffhanger! I’m speechless. I had to give myself a few days to write this review so that maybe I can find my words. This was a quick read for me. This book was chosen by my monthly book club to read. Thank you for introducing me to this fabulously, talented author!
Neva lost her father in a car accident 10 years ago caused by a drunk driver. A car accident she should have been in, if she’d gone that day. This has left her emotionally scarred, causing her to have nightmares and leaving her petrified of getting into cars. She and her dad had a special bond. Music brought them closer, and it seems to be the best outlet for her pain now.
Logan is her brother’s best friend, the man whore, who has always been there for Neva. He’s protected her from her nightmares. He is the only one, besides her brother, that she trusts to drive her anywhere. He knows everything about her, but she’s scared that she will hurt him, so keeps him at a distance.
Angel is the bad boy. The guy that knows nothing of her past. The guy she can pretend she’s normal with.
How can she choose between them when she feels for them for completely different reasons?
I’m not going to give anything away. I wanted to smack Neva upside the head a few times. I’m surprised her best friend, Low, didn’t although I’m sure she wanted to as well. Not for the same reasons I did though. I truly enjoyed this book, and I can’t wait until the next one comes out. The ending left me reeling! I need more! It’s rare when a book leaves me speechless and in that “WTF just happened?” place. I can usually predict what is going to happen. I was close, but not close enough obviously! Well, Done! 5 stars from me! Anxiously awaiting Finding Me. 🙂
