Psychopath’s Prey by V.F. Mason Release Review

I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This to me is a super hard review to write because of the fact that I do not want to give a thing away. I went into this book just knowing that it is a dark book and that is probably all you really need to know. Holy cow …..buckle your seat belt and hold on. This is the story of psychopath and Ella. Ella has always dreamed of, since her parents and little sister were brutally murdered and she was the only one to survive, of hunting down and catching serial killers. However her dreams are shattered and just when she has given up all hope the dream job finally becomes available. But, it isn’t the exact job she wanted as all she is doing is making the profile of the killer and the police are the ones who are left to capture the killers. This book is told in the point of view of Ella and Psychopath. I will tell you that once you pick this book up you will not want to put it down. You will also never and I mean never ever figure out who in the world figure out how this book is done. Just when you think you have some clue as to who is doing what everything will flip and you will question everything you thought you knew. I read a lot of dark books. They push me and at times make me question my sanity. And while this is not a book that made me go I am losing my mind for enjoying such a book as bad as others do it held my attention and had me reading as fast as I can. Don’t get me wrong this is a dark book. This is after all about serial killer and a FBI profiler. I may have had certain thoughts about certain parts but I never saw the moment of OMG NO FREAKING WAY coming in a million years. I will say that I am so happy with the epilogue that that is what made me question my sanity. However I am a lover of dark things for some reason and without a doubt this is the best dark book that I have read this year. I am telling you that you do not want to miss this book. I can not say enough about this book and could go on and on but I am so afraid of giving something away. Just go grab this book and enjoy the ride. I wish I could see all your faces when you hit that moment as I am sure the look on my face was priceless. V.F. Mason has blown me away with this book. I so can not wait to see what dark and wonderful treat she comes out with next.
