This is my first book by M.L.J. Quigg and the first book in the Thorny Devils MC Series. This is a second chance romance that has on bad butt heroine in it. You know you probably shouldn’t mess with Monique if you haven’t seen her in fifteen years and suddenly find yourself face to face with her and she kicks your butt. Literally. Derrick is after all the president of the Thorny Devils and he and some of his members get their butts handed to them by Monique. I thought it was a good book till it goes a little bit crazy at the end and felt to me like I was reading a different book and I found myself not liking the second part of this book as much as I was liking the first parts. You will see what I mean when you read the book. Or it may not feel that way to you but it did to me. And my other reason for not five starring it was that I felt like they just got over stuff and things kind of just fell right into place for two people who haven’t seen each other in fifteen years. Seems to me like you’d have a grudge that you have to get over and everything just can’t be that perfect that fast. Or maybe I just wouldn’t be that forgiving and make him work for it. Or perhaps kicking someones butt is the way to start off on the right foot again.
