Four life-long friends bound by two decades of laughter, love, promises, and secrets. Once inseparable, the four grow into independent adults pursuing very different paths.

Sage, raised by career-driven parents, follows a carefully laid out future of success that leaves her wondering what she’s missed out on.

Emily, the college drop-out, now has three children that have become her whole life. She’s slowly lost herself, subconsciously seeking dangerous ways to cope. Can she find herself in time?

Jax always lived on the edge, skating through life with no apparent ambition, yet remained the energy and emotional cement of the group. She longs for her friends to accept her without trying to fix her.

Ned, Emily’s twin brother, yearns to stand up and be counted. But his old loyalties and new feelings for one of the girls has him pulled in different directions.

Will the ties that held them together as kids be strong enough for them as adults? These four friends will discover the true meaning of friendship and unveil truths about themselves they never knew existed.

Review

Carla’s Review:

4 stars for Circle in the Sand by Lia Fairchild.

This is a story of friendship between three women and one man.  Each
character tells their own story, and this gives the reader a chance to get to
know them on a more personal level.  Each character is so different, and this
allows the reader to catch a glimpse of themselves.

Emily, Jax, Sage, and Ned have been friends since childhood.  As they have
grown up, they have found it harder to stay in touch due to life’s demands.
They each face their individual struggles and discover that those struggles
are easier to face and overcome by relying on one another.  Their friendship
is so special, and I found myself thinking about my own friendships.  I always
say that friends are the family that we get to choose, and this book proves
how true that statement really is.

Each character in this book was so well developed, and the story flowed quite
easily.  I fell in love with each character (especially Rose), and I found
myself cheering them on.  I wanted them all to overcome their struggles and
keep their friendship strong.

This is my first read by Lia Fairchild, and I really enjoyed it!!  There were
some typos that distracted me at times, and that is why I did not give this
book five stars.  I would highly recommend this book!  I promise you will not
be disappointed!

*I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest
review.
