New Adult Version:
For Mature Readers:

Blurb:

In the beginning God made the heavens and the earth, and everything in between. The In-between was unplanned, unexpected, and unwelcome. Every action causes a reaction and when mankind was born, so were the Fae. Suddenly it was up to Heaven to save Earth. God created Angels to right his wrong, to save human kind. A deal was made, an agreement of sorts. The Angels would protect humanity from Fae domination and destruction, and in return they would have inhuman strength and immortality. Thus a time of angels swooping in to save humans from free will, bad decisions, and big mistakes began. They protected humans from the Fae who intentionally enslaved them, leaving shells of humans, or worse, leaving nothing at all.

Even God doesn’t always learn from mistakes. Angels were given freedom of choice. Some Angels chose wrong. When some of them spread their wings, they went too far, and just as Icharus was punished for getting too close to the sun, they were punished for getting too close to mankind.

So they fell. Falling was the easy part.

Review:
If you’re a Christian you might have a little trouble reading this story as it’s completely different and contrary to the Bible.  I know this is a work of fiction, however, it still bothered me.  🙂  Satan suddenly became the Fae and there was only one original angel who God made an additional 5 to help the first one fight against the Fae.  The angels were sent to earth to help defend the humans against the work of the Fae.  They didn’t know how many Fae there were, but they were everywhere!  The angels had several rules put in place by God as to what they were allowed to do and not do against the Fae.  They felt God had abandoned them and they were trying to get rid of these Fae all by themselves.
I had a hard time with this book, to tell you the truth.  The writing isn’t bad.  These authors are great.  The story didn’t hit me well.  I suppose because it’s contrary to everything I’ve been taught about God and his creations.  I just couldn’t put that aside.  If you can, you will surely enjoy this book!!
Thank you Melissa & Nicole for the chance to read and review Dark Dawn for you.
