What is your desire?
Lust, money, or power?
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
I’m Everett “Rett” Ramses.
New Orleans is my world, my realm, and my domain. After what I’ve done, some people say I am the devil. I say I’m a man who knows what he wants, and nothing is going to stop me from getting what I desire. I took New Orleans, and now I want Emma O’Brien. As the daughter of my father’s rival and sworn enemy, her fate is to be my wife. Emma is my world now. It’s time she makes a deal with the devil.
Before you begin this book you need to go and get Fate’s Demand. It is free and the prequel to this book and also it is how these two meet and you don’t want to miss that. After all Rett is the King of New Orleans and there is a threat to that and he is going to stop it in any way possible. Emma is a reader with a passion for books and she along with her business partner have made this new software and are in New Orleans for a meeting with Rett to see if he will invest in their software. But Emma never gets tot that meeting and is swept into a dinner with Rett where he tells her that she isn’t who she really thinks she is and that she is the rightful Queen and was adopted by the people who raised her and are now dead along with her brother in a accident that took all three of them. She moved away from where she was raised and is starting this new life to never have to think about what happened again to them. Now she finds out it was all a lie. Rett has taken over New Orleans and he had to fight to get to where he is and replace his father who is also dead. Now someone is coming for his place and position as the King of New Orleans and he can’t let that happen and with time and patience he and Emma strike a deal. But everything is not what they expect it to be and you will be left hanging on by your finger tips waiting for the next book. I know this is a jumbled mess but I so do not want to give anything away about this story. If you have read Aleatha Romig before then you know your getting yourself into some twisted stuff that your not going to be able to put down. I loved this book and can’t wait to read the next on and find out what happens. Do not even hesitate to get this book and read it. It is absolutely amazing and you won’t be able to put it down.
