Fable is young girl who is a university student with roots that go as far as Scotland. When she comes across a summer program that’s location is Isle of Skye on a Scottish land. This is her opportunity to find out more about her ancestors and also uncovers an old century mystery. Many girls have gone suddenly missing on the edgy cliffs on the Isle. As soon as she gets to where she is staying in Leith Hall there is a felling of strangeness and also a bone deep connection to the eerie manor. Now is the time to find out all she can about her great-aunts death, but what if the truth isn’t always what you are seeing with your own eyes.? Is she asking the right questions? But the bigger mystery is why her handsome brooding neighbor so enticing? Fable is unsettled by Adler and his nearness. There is not a doubt that she is really pulled to him but she can’t figure out why. Boy that is a lot of questions to answer and read you should. I really loved this book and enjoyed reading it so so much

I feel her before I see her.
I can’t explain this thing between us, why I keep showing up when she needs it most, but it’s real and I’m a slave to follow the instinct.

Spending time with Harris won’t end well. I can already see the epic crash and burn in my mind’s eye. She doesn’t know it, but I can sense it coming from a thousand years away. Fable, on the other hand, seems unable to sense anything. Her senses are dulled to the force this island has on people, the way the mist bends the perspective and twists the thoughts. Humans aren’t meant to be so isolated, and Fable is already suffering the effects. Leith is a rambling, imposing monster of cobbled-together ruins and dark, damp corridors. It’s no place for a woman as soft and sweet as she is, but then, there’s nothing I can say that will convince her of that.
Only that I’ll take care of her if she can’t do it herself.
She must hate me for being so abrasive, but I can’t think of another way to make her understand that she’s playing with fire when she asks for the truth.
