Criminal by Mary Elizabeth Release and Review

You need to read Tramp and Harlot first before diving in to Criminal. It is the third book in the Hush Series from Mary Elizabeth. These two first met in Tramp and if you have read that book you know that she is a escort and Trent is a lawyer and we got to know more about them. But Criminal focuses more on the mafia side of of story.
Lydia is a beautiful woman on the outside but on the inside she is filled with just so much self hate and her past will give you chills. No matter what goes on her in life she feels like she is not worthy and that includes in her relationship with Trent. She maybe be his Ice Queen but she sure doesn’t feel like she should be. She also always is waiting for it all to blow up in her face and come to an end. After all when you hate yourself why would you ever think that someone could love you and keep loving you like Trent loves her.
Trent is always and will always fight for Lydia. He has been since the first day they met. Just when he thinks he is peeling back a layer of her and getting somewhere she will throw a even thicker layer on and he has to start all over again. Lydia is not an easy woman to love and if a man has ever had a lot of patience and is willing to sacrifice for her it’s Trent. I loved how he loved her and was so patient with her when he needed to be but at the same time the man who is a mafia leader who is ruthless and does what has to be done. I really loved seeing all sides of Trent in this book. After all the man is out for revenge and nothing stops a man who wants revenge as badly as Trent does.
I really loved how raw and real this book was. I loved getting inside these characters head though I have to say that Lydia broke my heart my times than I can count. There is angst in buckets in this book too. Since this is a book in a series you might find yourself with more questions than you have answers to and I really hope there is a next book in this series soon.
