A new persona. A new life. But none of that would save me from them.
The Fallen are ruthless, demanding, and vicious, and they want me.
I thought I could hide from my past, but they know who I am, what I am. They want vengeance. And they will take it, no matter what.
They see me as pure, innocent, and they want to tarnish that veneer. But what they don’t know is that I have darkness clawing its way out of me. For so long, I try to hide it. I’m afraid of it, but when my three captors recognize the shadows lurking in my soul, I know it’s too late.
I am their captive.
They’re merciless, ruthless, and violent.
The Fallen have stolen me, but there is a far worse evil lurking outside, watching. It’s waiting for me.
The question is — Will these three men save me, or watch my demise?
Renee’s Four Star Review
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is a dark story. You will want to heed the warnings in this book because it will contain some triggers for some readers.
Crow, Falcon, and Hawk are a trio who are unlikely friends that became family and they each have their own ability they bring to the table and together they form The Fallen. Lucille Mahoney is a girl that is on their radar because of her father and she is who they want to take there vengeance for the sins of her fathers. They have watched and waited and stalked her for a very long time but they never anticipated that someone else might be doing the same thing they are and that runs up their timeline of taking her. I really felt for Lucy. That poor girl had endured things at the hand of her father that nightmares are made of. I am not going to lie and say that right off the bat I knew where this book was going and what exactly the revenge and why Lucy was all about because I didn’t and it seems the more I read the more I was lost as to what was going to happen. Don’t get frustrated and give up. I didn’t understand why they were with Lucy like they are at first either. I mean you had a plan you take the girl and she cleans your house? Ummmm…..Maybe it was just me but I was all over the place with this one for a good while. But then it got better and started to make sense thought you do have to work for that point. It’s a good book once you get where you feel like you need to be for things to begin making sense especially with The Fallen.
