Release Date: May 11

From New York Times best-selling author Aleatha Romig comes a stand-alone new-adult, romantic thriller where love is new, and monsters lurk in expensive suits behind million-dollar smiles.

Woodland Cliffs Country Club is the crown jewel of the small Monterey-area seaside town. It’s comfortable stomping grounds for those born to money and opportunity. With the club’s esteemed members from near and far, it’s not unusual to spot celebrities, business tycoons, or those with even more power.

It isn’t the glamour or intrigue that attracts Rae Watson to seek a summer job at the Cliffs. As a struggling college student, she simply wants to earn money for her senior year at the university and concentrate on classes.

When Rae’s friend helps secure her summer employment at the Cliffs, Rae willingly accepts. She quickly learns there’s more to the Cliffs, particularly the hidden world of those the country club employs.

The lives of the elite and those who serve them are worlds apart.

What will that mean for Rae and the handsome blue-eyed college student who makes her swoon?

Will she discover the secrets purged from the high cliffs, waiting to be found on the rocky shores, or will she find herself on the edge?

Renee’s Three Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

I have to say that I am confused. I gave the star rating for the writing but I don’t even know that I even fully grasp what the heck I actually read and I don’t feel like we really got an ending with this book. I don’t even feel like I knew the characters and what made them tick or why they were the way and were. Or what made them the way they are. There is just so much missing and when I think about it I give myself this help me get off the hamster wheel feeling. And after writing that I am still confused. It felt to me like maybe I was missing a huge chunk of something I should have known or maybe it is that I don’t understand why what was happening was happening. I don’t even think it felt like a ending it was more like a what in the world did I just read and why don’t I really understand what I read. I have so many questions. Like why did all this happen in the first place. I know the book is based on a country club that is run by some really rich people and there are several characters that have chapters and there is a brother that most of his family is concerned about because the found the woman he was going to marry dead. BUT, why what when were are how was missing for many of these questions that I have. And maybe it was just me but I didn’t really feel like it made any sense. They also need a half star rating on this thing because it sits at three and a half stars not for and that was for the writing style and how she made it to where I was going to have to read it to get answers but instead I closed this book so confused. I’m usually the one to devour and Aleathea Romig book and I know those books alway say in them are you read to be Aleathea’d? Well I must have been something’d this time because I don’t even really know what I read.
