I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is a dark mafia, enemies to lovers romance. You need to heed the warning in the beginning of the book. This is also the second book in the Mafia Wars New York Series but can be read as a standalone. If you have read Toxic then you have met Gianni and Cara and you know that he has it pretty bad for her. Gianni is all alpha possessive male with a protective side that is going to make you swoon in your very reading spot. But he is equally as protective as he is possessive and that side of him is impossible not to love and trust me it tends to kick in to high gear at times. He and Cara though have a few things going on with there relationship and Gianna created most of it even if he didn’t mean to. It was never his intention for things to be the way they are but they are now that way, so they have things to sort our and fix or go separate ways. But Cara is a woman who speaks her mind and she really isn’t afraid to do it with Gianna. This book has a lot of things going one and you just need to make sure your comfortable in your reading spot so you don’t know to move because you will not want to when you open this book.
