I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Well I have to say off the bat that if you have read the Cocky Hero books then you know what you are getting yourself in to and I know that you have read some amazing books in that series. I have read quiet a bit of them. And, while this book is quiet entertaining it sometimes didn’t feel like a Cocky Hero book. But it was a cute little story that I got read but didn’t feel like it was one I couldn’t put down and had to know what was going to happen. PJ and Max meet when they are at a wine store and she ends up with a wine stain on her and I thought he wasn’t the greatest person ever in that first meeting. To say that you will wanna slap him up the side of the head many times in this book might just be a understatement and I could not for the life of me figure out why in the world she would be interested in him at all. These two live on the same floor too and they run into each other quiet often and this is how she comes to like him a lot more than he did at his first meeting. This guy though drove me absolutely insane and I’d have punched him each time I saw him. Later on he will really mess up a lot and PJ puts up with stuff that no one else is ever going to put up with. I love the Cocky Hero books but this one fell really short for me and I wasn’t that crazy about it at all.
