Except they aren’t alone here…
A man hides among the broad leaves. He’s almost feral.
There are secrets in his cabin. Desire, too.
Carter doesn’t want to care about beautiful June. He doesn’t want to care about the mysterious and sensual man who’s almost part of the wilderness.
Scorching chemistry draws all three of them deeper.
They already survived the plane crash, but will they survive the fall?
Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
If you have been reading the stories in the Midnight Dynasty with the Morelli’s and Constantines, then you know the world this book is set in. Only we aren’t in Bishop’s Landing at all. This is the story of Carter Morelli. He is one of the Morelli son’s and he is a secret agent for the United States Government. But he can’t let anyone know that. He is on a mission to take June to photograph wildlife and on the way there his plane is losing gasoline and he must crash land on an island to save him and June from crashing into the ocean and dying on impact. Now they are stuck on this island and while June thinks they can be rescued by a passing plane, he knows that someone is after him and he can’t let June a totally innocent woman die because of him. They will have to survive on this island alone and with very little but it is very obvious to Carter that someone has been living on this island for a while. When they find this man his cabin is absolutely brimming with secrets and he himself is almost feral. However they all can’t deny that they are attracted to one another and soon there are attractions flying all over the place. This is more an insta-love situation and unlike the other relationships that happen in the Midnight Dynasty world and I thought that it was refreshing and great not to be in Bishops Landing and on a deserted island. Well not deserted because of there being another man there, but you know what I mean. Carter and June were having a heck of a time with her trusting him. However when your not told things and your crash landing almost in the ocean then you really would want to know everything that is going on. After all her life is just as in danger as hers was my thought. Then you add in Theo and things get really interesting. I really loved reading this book.
