I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is the story of Harlow. A girl who is different and hears voices in her head all the time. Growing up was not great for her and she runs. She has actually been running for years she has always been considered a reject because she hears voices and has hallucinations. This finally leads her to DarkHaven Institute. However where this should be a place where she gets the help she needs for the voices she is hearing, it feels more like something is way way off and nothing is as it should be inside the institute with the Demons, Gargoyles and all of the other patients that are also there. However they are all trapped inside the walls and can’t get out. When her nightmares start to come to life it confuses her even more and she has not a clue what is going on. I will be the first to admit that I am not the greatest lover of paranormal b ooks, but this one really sucked me in and I had to know what was going on, all while it was kind of freaking me out. We have all kinds of demons and gargoyles from Hiro who is the softie of the group and has a alter ego Roman who is a protector. and then there is Drake and I can’t quite figure out this one at all so I hope that we get to know a whole lot more about him. So, that would mean I need the next book to find these things out and I will for sure be reading it because a girl just has to know.
