Silver Lining is a standalone, age-gap, forbidden romantic suspense novel. I will go ahead and tell you that it is one you do not want to miss. If you have read Red Sin then you have met Lena Montgomery. She is Donovan Sherman’s best friend in that book and I was very curios about her during that series. Now we finally get her book. However you do not have to have read Red Sin to read this book. You won’t be lost and you will over her story just as much as I did. Lena is a girl who works hard because she dreams of wealth and power and is more than determined to make that dream her reality. She was not born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she has had to work hard for everything she has. The things that have happened in her past have shaped her into a woman who is strong and ruthless when she has to be. But, she has this soft side to her that is vulnerable and sweet that not a lot of people get to see. However she is a character that I really loved. However her life is about to get a whole lot more crazy as she has a stalker. Thanks to that stalker though she is about to meet the man she is meant to spend forever with. CJ or Chandler John Thompson and Lena will spend a week in paradise and he helps her to have fun, be care free. It is a week that leaves a lasting impression on both of them. He really stole my heart right along with Lena’s and I loved how he embraced and loved every single side of her. Not just the parts of her that are softer and sweeter. He loved that she was a bad butt and ruthless when she had to be too. However things are never as simple as meet the man of your dreams and fall in love. After all Lean had not one intention of letting anyone in her life in a relationship. After all he is ten years younger than her and how would that even work. This book has twists and turns and things that will have you reading on the edge of your seat. I loved ever single second of this book. I love that we got to read Lena’s story too. Get ready to lose your heart to C.J. and Lena while at that same time you are getting Aleathe’d!!
