Jett Powers is a man who loves control and he is certainly in control of everything he has worked for and rules. He is like that with everything in his life. An attorney who works hard and plays even harder and he now sees a new temptation. A temptation that comes in the form of his fiance’s, nineteen year old daughter Raven. The only reason he thinks he needs to marry at all is because he is nearly forty and his fiance Rachel is the perfect arm candy for him and I would say that I have to agree because I don’t know what he saw in her at all. She’s a woman who is working to climb the social ladder, most of her is not even read and she is so selfish. But, he didn’t care that he didn’t really love her and knew she was getting his money and connections in exchange for being his arm candy and basically using him too. She doesn’t really care where he goes or what he does or who but she just might when she figures out that he is highly interested in her daughter Raven. Not probably because she’s her daughter but for the mere fact that she is younger and hotter. Poor Rachel sure did not win in the parent department and I felt really bad for her but I also loved her too. Shes sweet and innocent and really way in over her head with Jett. Their attraction to each other is so much more than just a physical attraction and I loved watching that build while I was reading the book. I know there is an age gap here and it’s never good to want you mom’s man but I just loved them together. Will they be able to get the happily ever after they both deserve and want? Well you have to read and I must say that you will not be able to lay this book down. You’re going to fall so in love with Daddy Powers and the story he and Raven have to tell.
