This is a why choose romance. You will want to read the forward in the beginning of the book. This is a bully romance and it will continue over the next two books also. I have to say too that this book is a slow burn and you will be hooked from the first chapter. You are going to fall in love with KC. She is an absolutely amazing female lead character. She has always been in the spotlight since she was born to a movie star mother and a rock star father. However they divorced before she was two but she still has always been in a spotlight. When she forms a group with her two friends they take the world by storm but they are exhausted and she is craving something normal in her life. School, specifically Blue Ivy Prep. She is determined to prove herself to everyone and most especially herself. However, things are never that easy. She is a good girl with a bad reputation and everyone in the world has already formed opinions about her even though they know absolutely nothing about her. However she doesn’t let all the gossip and what the tabloids have to say affect her life. She is a hard working girl weather it be with her music or catching up in school. It’s not long before many boys are interested and I have to say that each one was a total opposite of the other. I feel like we could have gotten to know them better but there is a note in the book that lets you know that all future books will be written in multiple points of view. I really missed that getting to know them better in this book since it is told from only KC’s point of view. I can’t wait to read the next book and dive even deeper into this story and see how things go.
