If you are looking for a slow burn of a romance and a mafia book then you need this book in your life. Alister and Arianna both know loss. One is a mafia man called the Blood King who has lost everyone he has ever loved. He has a huge target on his back because of who he is in the mafia. Arianna lost her mother to the mafia even if she isn’t sure how her mother was involved with the mafia. Now she is on the case with the Organized Crime Task Force is called in to investigate the slaughter of a rival organized crime syndicate. She knows that the one man she should stay away from, The Blood King is involved somehow and she needs to stay away from the really handsome Mafia Man. Sometimes you have the best intentions but fate has other plans. These two characters are flawed for sure and have th things they need to work through, but that doesn’t stop him for falling for her when he knows loses everyone he has ever cared about. I really loved reading this book and like I said if you are a fan of slow burns with a bit of dangers in them then you are going to love Mine to Protect.
