This is the first book in the Mafia Academy Series. It is the story of Mirabella La Rosa and Marcelo Costa. She is a mafia princess and her father arranged for her to marry the next in line to the Costa crime family, Marcelo Costa. However she has plans. Big plans and she is not going to be some mans arm candy and produce heirs. She has more valuable things she could be doing for her family. However before she has to get married tragedy strikes and Marcelo and his father are killed in a car bombing. Seeing this as her chance she and her best friend head off to Sicuro Academy, a college that is only for mafia children. She is all settled and ready to go and super excited. She is really looking forward to learning and being at the college. However, you can imagine her surprise when Marcelo walks into class. He was supposed to be dead but is very much alive and out to solve two problems. One being that Mirabella made it very clear that she never intends to marry him and the main reason he is in the college in the first place is that the search for whoever killed his father has lead him there. He is a man on a mission and he won’t stop until he gets what he came for. I loved this book. I love a good academia romance and this one is so good you won’t be able to put it down. There is a huge mystery of what exactly happened, who did it and why. Mirabella is so feisty and headstrong. She really is very outspoken and certainly not your typical mafia princess. Marcelo is all alpha and the head of his family now that his father has died. These two are pure fire together and no matter how hard they try they cannot fight their attraction for one another. I really loved reading their story. It will keep you up well past bedtime and I can not wait to read the next book in the series.
