Maso Cardarelli as the oldest brother takes his job as protector very seriously. He sacrifices so much and makes really hard decisions when they need to be made. However he has found the opportunity to give his sister in law closure he steps up for the job right away. What he never saw coming was the girl he was sent to rescue. She might not be able to speak in words but her eyes say everything. Bri Marino wasn’t prepared for Maso either. He is her dark protector and she is falling for him. He might say he isn’t the one for her but she knows he is wrong about that. However that also gives him the power after breaking down her walls and making her see and feels things she never thought possible, will he break her heart or be like every other man she has always known? But he could also be the one to put her back together again. But will he?
You have to read to find all that out. I loved reading this book. I feels so hard for Maso and Bri. They have a story to tell that will run the emotional roller coaster you didn’t know that you were getting on.
