This book is the second of three standalone novels in the Godless Heathens universe, each of which takes place at Chryseum Reformatory Academy and features one of the three lords of the Academy (Saint, Gabriel, and Killian). Reading the other books in the series, although recommended, is not necessary to enjoy this book.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.Welcome back to Chryseum Reformatory Academy. Gabriel Soros is another member of the Kings. He is a little on the unhinged side. But he really all the time keeps a lighter in his pocket and burns the pad of this thumb all the time. He is a man who loves fire and isn’t afraid to use it to his advantage. He would have to go and fall for the only girl in his line of sight that is afraid of fire. Avery was in a horrible accident years ago and since then she has lived terrified of any kind of flame. When she first meets Gabe he creeps her out rather badly. This is the beginning of a push and pull relationship that is going to have you turning the pages well past bedtime. This was a really great book and I can’t wait for the next one in this series. You really don’t want to miss this book.
