Champion Valentine is a quarterback. A legend. If you needed a quarterback he would be the one that you would want playing for you. It is his life. And when I say that that is what I mean. He doesn’t really have much of a life outside of football. He has been so dedicated to it that it has taken over his life. Just winning the Super Bowl, the team is off on a vacation in St Croix. He never in a million years expected to see a woman dancing on a tree limb. That is exactly what Electra was doing though. Electra loves dance. It is her escape and passion and she is good at it. She has suffered tragedy and she needed to get away. Everyone at work basically made her take this vacation. From the moment these two meet, and I should tell you there is an eighteen year age gap between them, it is an instant attraction. That’s about all I am going to tell you about the story because you need to experience this one for yourself. I thought that these two were so perfect for each other. I loved them. Fell in love with them as they fell for each other. It is a spicy age gap romance and I have to say that this book won’t feel like any sports romance you have read before. It is so beautifully written and these characters emotions are just bleeding off the pages. I loved that about this book. I loved that he wouldn’t let her turn their budding feelings into just one night together here and there. He pursued her. They both have had tragic events that have happened in their past and it was a beautiful thing to watch these two heal together. You do not want to miss this book. It is one of the best books I have read all year.
