My Favorite Kidnapper by Melanie Moreland Release & Review

This is a really funny opposites attract read. It is the story of Brianna and Dante. She is a baker and her cakes are so beautiful they could be works of art. In fact her specialty is her very elaborate cakes. She however never had an easy childhood and was in the system bouncing around while she grew up. She even managed college but really rack up some serious debt and has to work multiple jobs but really has the world’s worst boss at the bakery she works in . She is however working on a wedding cake creation for her friend from college when she comes face to face with Dante Frost. The cupcake snatcher. He is the owner of art galleries in several countries. He is in town for his God-daughter’s and when he sees the most elaborate cake he has ever seen she ends up swiping a cupcake and realizes they are the most delicious thing he has ever eaten. He also does not fail to notice how he irritates the baker. No one has ever spoken to him the way she just did. He knows from that moment that he is going to need more sweets and the baker of them in his life. When it becomes clear to him that she is not on the same page as him he decides to take matters into his own hands. Will he win over the sassy little baker? You have to read to find out.
I loved this story. It was so much fun to read. I loved these characters but my most favorite thing was how Brianna didn’t say bad words. Her skating around not saying those words and making up her own really had me laughing out loud. I loved that she wasn’t afraid to stand up to Dante when no one in his life would dare to do that to him. I loved how he pushed her and in doing so she discovered things about herself and grew in those discoveries. He was the break in life that she needed from working her butt off and barely surviving and that was sucking the very life out of her. She softened him and I loved watching Dante soften. It was a thing of beauty. I loved this book. You really do not want to miss it.
