Laura’s Review:

4 stars

I recieved a complimentary copy in exchangfe for an honest review.

This is the second book in the series but the books each feature one of the friends so I didn’t feel like I missed anything not reading the first one before this one.

Emmerson had issues in her past so she put on a show where her love life is concerned.  She makes people believe she is wild and experianced but she is mostly talk due to fear of not being in control.  I liked Emmerson because she did go on about needing to be in control in the book she didn’t come off as overly weak or whiney to me.  From the experiances she has had to face I don’t blame her one bit.

I love the group of friends and how they are all there for each other.  When one is down they rally to bring her back up.  Even if that rally is just girl talk with some fast food or coffee.  They also push each other to be better.

Then there is Shaw.  He has gained a place at the top of my book boyfriend list.  He is hot and I love how he doesn’t back down or let Emmerson get away with any of her games she thinks she needs to play to protect herself.  He help her to become a stronger person and is there for her through the whole book.  Oh and did I mention he is a Marine who is smoking hot both in looks and confidence.

I read a lot but I usually don’t finish a book in 24 hours because I work and have a four year old.  I picked this one up and 24 hours later I was done.  I got emmersed in the story and it just flew by.  It was a really good read and you should grab it.
