This is a best friends to lovers romance and I thought it was so good. Kye is going to steal your heart. He is a guy that is larger than life. He really knows how to turn on the charm. I don’t think he has a charm off button at all. But that’s ok I was living for all the charming of Kye. All the ladies love him and he has not one problem with that. I love that we got to go back to his youth in the first part of this book. I love when we get a more detailed account of the past in books. After all youth shapes you really. This is also where he meets Genesis and these two form a really tight bond. The guy certainly has a mouth on him in his youth but such a love for his life. I loved that he was dedicated to Genesis and that dedication and love never changed. As they grow older Genesis never one time doesn’t love Kye. However they have a friendship that is everything to her and she is afraid if they tried to be something more she would lose him as her friend. And that can’t happen. When a old boyfriend comes into the picture it is her moment to reconnect with him and my heart just broke. Kye has taken a really long time to see what has been in front of him this entire time. But just like that a huge surprise falls right into this lap and he needs Genesis now more than ever. But can they ever be more? You have to read and find out. However there is just no way that you won’t love this book. I had the very best time reading this book and could have read a lot longer about these two. They are characters you won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
