Unholy Vows by Mila Kane Release & Review

Unholy Vows by Mila Kane is now live!

We never should have met. She wandered like an innocent lamb into my world, and the door slammed shut behind her.
Leaving her alive and free was a risk no capo would take.
I’ll let her live, for a price.
Her freedom.

A forced marriage, age gap dark mafia romance with a jealous, possessive Italian boss anti-hero and the feisty young nurse that wandered unwillingly into his dangerous world.
She isn’t what she seems, but it’s already too late.
He’s obsessed, and nothing, and no one will keep her from him.

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the first book in the Original Sin Duet. Since this is a first book in a duet you should expect a cliffhanger and will get the conclusion in the second book. This is also a dark mafia romance and you will want to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. If you have never read a book by this author then I have to tell you that you really will never regret picking up what she is writing. I have read several of her books and have never been disappointed in one of those books.
This is the story of Charlie and Ren. I have to tell you that you are going to be hooked once you start reading this book. I think I laid it down to sleep some and picked it up the second I woke up the next morning. Charlie has been taking care of her younger sister Lucy for a while now. She is a Nursing student, and works as a waitress. Her father has passed away and that leaves just her sister as her family. No matter how hard things are thought she doesn’t mind but things are kind of a mess as you can imagine. Lucy is always getting herself in trouble or into messes that she should have never been near in the first place. Now she has gotten Charlie messed up in some mafia business and life has they know it is changing quickly and drastically. She is now being forced to do things she would never do to keep herself and Lucy alive. However when she meets Renato the boss of the Italian mafia things are going to change again for them in very surprising ways.
I loved Charlie. She is spunky and hard working. Smart and really in a mess that was not of her own making. I don’t know how she did not lose it on Lucy with some of the messes that girl gets into. This one leading to a much older man and a forced marriage. Renato is the boss, the man, the one you never want to mess with. He carries himself with a air of darkness around him. However he has a developing soft spot for Charlie and Heaven help anyone that looks in her direction. This book was so good and I can’t wait to have Twisted Testament in my hands to see what is going to happen next.

Meet Mila Kane

I’m obsessed with cats, coffee, and anti-heroes just the right side of insane.

I write dark and dirty romance with the alpha-holes of your most filthy nightmares.

While I like my heroes obsessed and powerful, I like my heroines smart and independent. My headstrong, capable women will bring their own personal demons to their knees, and capture their hearts at the same time.

I only write SAFE stories, there is never a place for another woman in my heroes sights, once he’s caught the scent of the heroine, and there will always be, no matter how dark and twisted the story might be… a HEA guarantee xx

About Renee Henson

Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
