This is the story of Franco and Samantha. She is a woman who has been through a lot and is trying her best to forget and now live in the past. She has a good job and Franco is her boss. However by her taking matters into her own hands she lands smack dab in the middle of Franco’s world outside of the office. Franco is the boss of the mafia and I don’t think that I have ever read a book where the mafia boss has a PA. He is a ruthless man but has a soft spot for his PA when he finds out about her life before she started working for him. I so fell for him right as Samantha did. He is so sweet and patient with her. He is also going to show her that she can rely on him if it is the last thing he ever does. This is a slow burn of a romance. You will love the characters and the story is different from most mafia romances you will read and I loved that about this book.
