I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
To say that Ariel is having a bad week, is an understatement. She is currently fighting for custody of her little brother all while hiding from one of the biggest crime empires in Chicago. She took her brother when she left her mothers house to protect him. Her mother is not a good person. She’s been raising him for years all while holding on to a deep dark secret that could get her killed. To say life is crazy right now is an understatement. She does however have a new neighbor named Jude and the attraction between them is undeniable.
Jude has been sent to do a job. When they send him out to a job they know that he will get the job done no matter what he has to do. He is hoping beyond hope that he doesn’t have to finish this job. After all he feels this strong desire to keep Lenny and Ariel safe. Will they be able to get through this period of time alive and intact? Or will Jude have to do his job and do it well? You have to read to find out. I really enjoyed the twists and turns in the book and really the sweetness that is Ariel and Jude.
