This is a dark romance. You will want to heed the warnings in the beginning of this book. It will contain triggers for some readers. I will also warn you that once you pick up this book you won’t be able to lay it down. This is the story of Evi and Jax. She is a girl who wants to live her best life and do her own things. She has gone as far as to cut herself off of her parents money to chase her dreams. However, she is making a terrible mistake when it comes to dating and dating someone that she has no business dating. He is a horrible human being and treat her horribly. I wanted to punch him in the throat so many times. There are some really dark moments that you are going to go through with her. However, her life is turning and a knight in shining armor is on the horizon. To say he is most unexpected would be an understatement. Jax was once a crime lord and has been to prison. However he is still very much a man that you do not want to mess with but he is also about to turn her life around and help her be the best version of herself that she can possibly be.
I really loved these characters. She is a sweet girl who has been dealt many bad hands in life. Touch and fierce but she also needs someone in her life to. Jax is all alpha male but when he falls he falls hard and fast and I really loved that bout him. he also gives off some major touch her and die vibe. Together they are prefet for each other and I fell so hard for these characters.
