Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports. This is the first book in the Arcane Angels Series. It is the story of Venefica and Battle. They all live in a world that is different from ours. However, she is a city girl so to speak and Battle is her Guardian. Only certain people have a guardian. People that have a special purpose in their life. Since Battle came to Venefica one day she has known that there is something special about her that she should be doing. However, she can’t figure out what that would be. She has been studying to be a healer and is almost through with school. However, she is a little squeamish and you can really tell that this is probably not what she is mean to be doing. Battle is her protector. And while you get the impression that they are angels because they have wings, they are a little different than what my impression of an angel is. They way they have to feed and the feelings that entails. You will just have to read to find out. I don’t want to ruin anything about this book. There are so many magical people in this book. From angels to witches. Feedings to being so connected you don’t know where one ends and the other begins. I loved these characters. Venefica is a really good girl. She puts up with her horrible mothers scheme when Battle is firmly against her doing anything for her mother. This book has a lot of twists and turns and will keep you reading until you finish. I was so surprised when I got to the end of this book. It felt like I have been reading it for no time at all. That’s just how good this book is. It sucks you in and doesn’t let up till the end. And lets not talk about the end of this book. I just might cry. Or throw something. I think I felt a lot of things when this book ended. I wanted to punch someone and shed a tear or two at the same time. Now I need the next book in my hand right this second. I have to know what is going to happen. It has been days since I finished this book, and I am still thinking about it. You do not want to miss this one. I am not much a a PNR reader, but this book grabbed me by the throat and my heart is still back on the last page waiting to continue.

About Renee Henson
Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
