This is no fairytale…

As the daughter of a biker, I’ve been toe-to-toe with brutal men. I grew up surrounded by violence, so I thought I could survive anything.

Until I learned what it really means to be at the mercy of a monster. One I loved. One I trusted.

Now that I’ve escaped, I refuse to go back.

But when I show up on my brother’s doorstep looking for help, I find myself face to face with Mason Zane.

My protector. My safety. My brother’s apprentice.

A man who reveals my truths and cracks me open. A man who sees the girl I forgot existed.

But Mason has secrets of his own. Demons like the ones I’ve been running from. A tangled web that ties us together in ways we never expect.

Mason might feel like salvation, but this is no fairytale. And I won’t trade one evil for another again.

WORD TO THE WISE is an emotionally twisted, dark romance with a morally grey hero, heavy subject matter, mature content, and explicit scenes. Content/TWs (which contain spoilers) can be found on author’s website. 18+ only.

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the final book in the Twisted Roses series. I have to say that I am sad to see this series end. If you have not started it yet, you really need to. This is the story of Reed and Mason. These two characters have been or are really going through it. My heart broke for her so many times. Reed has just run from an abusive relationship. She knows that if she goes to her brother he will be the one place that she would be the safest. However, with all that is going on she forgot that he moved and ends up on Mason’s doorstep. Mason has always had feelings for Reed since the first moment he met her. But since he is so close to her brother and he is his mentor, she has been off limits. But Mason is the most supporting and caring man she could have run to. He is going to make sure that she is supported and has what she needs to survive since she has been through some serious trauma and has been brave enough to get out. Being her safe haven affords them the chance to get to know each other on a level that they didn’t and their banter and the way they are with each other will have you melting right in your very reading spot. I loved them so much separately and together. Mason is everything that Reed needs him to be when she needs it the most. Loving and supportive. Patient and safe. You would never know that he took has things that he has gone though and needs some healing himself. I love that he knew that she needed to discover the girl she is now as much as she needed the safe space. I could go on and on about this book. This book is just beautifully written and you can’t help but to be in the moment with these characters. You do not want to miss this book..
