Renee’s Five Star Review
I listened to this book and loved every second of it. The first thing I need to say is that the narrator’s did an amazing job of making this book come to life. I usually read the book, but this one I only listened to and loved how it played like a little movie in my head.
This is the story of Shiloh and Gage. These two have their moments in the past. To say that Gage is obsessed with Shiloh would be accurate. He also might be a little unhinged at times and is a little different really, than he was in the previous book which I read. These two have some serious push and pull, back and forth between them. When Shiloh left five years ago he went a little or a lot of the rails. Now that she is back in town he can’t decide if he hates her or wants hers. He certainly can’t stop thinking about her. Shiloh though has no memory of her life in the past after she was in a serious accident. So, it is really hard for her to understand why this man Gage hates her so much. I loved that we got the flashbacks of their time in the past. It really added something to this book, since she can’t remember those things and we as listeners get to hear them. I have not made up my mind how I feel about and event toward the end of the book. At first I was mad and then I kind of got why that happened. It wasn’t enough to make me rate the book less than five stars. This author has this special way of getting you invested in her characters quickly, and you don’t stop thinking about them for a good while after you finish the book.
