I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is the complete Briar Valley Duet in one book. I loved reading this book and absolutely could not put it down. This book includes:
Where Broken Wings Fly
Willow is a woman who has been failed by every single person in her life. When she was a child her life was horrible.. Her mother abandoned her and her father was deep in addiction and could have cared less about anything but his next fix. By the age of sixteen she was stripping to try to make ends meat. This brings a man into her life who was a sadist and forced her into a marriage she never wanted in the first place. This man abused her in every way possible for ten years!!! The only good thing to come out of that marriage that I have not a clue how Willow survived, was her daughter Arianna. With no choice left if she wants to survive and after a litter comes from a family she doesn’t really know she takes off with her daughter to the mountains of Briar Valley. Never in a million years would she have imagined that three men that would turn her world on it’s axis. Killian, Zach and Micah. Killian is a grump who is way overprotective but also doesn’t know how to deal with people at all. Micah and Zach are twins. Zach is the jokester who really is a people person and the most welcoming person ever. Micah is an artist who is reclusive and prone to panic attacks. When they fall though they fall hard and Arianna steals all their hearts. Will life be better in Briar Valley or will Willows past come back for her? You have to read and find out. This is for sure a story that has triggers warnings and those warnings need to be read and heeded. This book will for sure contain triggers for some readers. I was a mess reading this book. My heart broke so many times for Willow. I don’t think I have read about a character this strong who went through things that now human should ever have to go through. It is amazing to watch Willow though once she gets to Briar Valley and Arianna, I just wanted to keep her forever. She really does steal the show in this book.
Where Wild Things Grow
OH My how I could read about this for a very long time. This is the Happily Ever After. However we all know things can’t be that easy. I have to say that I was loving Willow’s growth in this book. She learned how to face her battles by herself and I was living for it. This is one strong girl to be through all she has been through. I can’t blame the girl for not wanting to face some things she had to face. Then we have the guys. Killian is still the protector. Zach is out comic relief. Then we can’t forget Micah. If anyone knew what Willow was going through it was him. I loved them all and I loved this book. I can’t tell you about the book or I know I will give something away. My best advice is run, don’t walk and go get this book. You can be in awe of Willow with me.
You do not want to miss this duet. If you love a book that has all the feels and is just one of those books you won’t forget, then you need this book in your life.
