If you are in the mood for a story that is a slow burn, then you have found the perfect book in The Purest Fake. This is the story of Cooper and Scarlet. He is a rookie playing for the Sliverbacks. The man is really good at what he does too. He is absolutely adorable and you can’t help but fall for him. Scarlett is a sports podcaster who is taking a break from men. She is strong and fierce and independent. These two know each other because one of the guys on his team and his girlfriend are friends with Scarlett. I loved watching their relationship form naturally.When Cooper finds himself being harassed by some female fans that are a little aggressive, she comes up with a plan for them to be fake boyfriend and girlfriend. However, it isn’t long before the lines begin to blur. Can these two turn something fake into something absolutely amazing? You have to read to find out. You are going to absolutely love this book.
