Stephanie’s 4 Star Review: I was a little nervous as to where the author was going with this particular novella. There were a few ways she could have taken this series but I’m very happy with the route she chose. Howard Weiss is a snake. Carrie picked up on that the first time she met the man. He wanted to be the Check Mate in a game of chess. I will say Carrie stuck her nose where it didn’t belong several times in this series. It most definitely is something that could kill the cat – or Carrie. Gavin is still as loving and courteous to Carrie and she’s fallen hard and fast. Then her world turns upside down. I enjoyed reading this series. I was happy to be able to review it. Definitely not a dull moment and plenty of sexy ones! I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.
